The other day I was on my way to my relatives place in the Netherlands. I was staring down onto my laptop trying to edit a presentation for our German distributor. Suddenly I heard “Almere” in the loadspeakers, which is the first part of the name of the stop Almere Beuten where I was supposed to get off. I rushed off to the train but was too late to realize that the train announced was for a place called Almere Muziekwijk. Excellent.
On my next train ride I was so anxious about missing my stop that I did nothing else but stare out the window for the right sign – not very relaxing nor efficient. The big problem is that once a train has reached its destination you cannot always see the sign, so the ideal situation would be to know a couple of minutes beforehand when you’re nearing the stop, so that you can either focus on something important or relax.
If you know when your train is due to arrive at your station you can set the alarm on your Mutewatch a few minutes before and just spend the last minutes of the train ride relaxing.
